Germaine Gibbs, Director of Sales
Germaine Gibbs has worked in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry for the past 10 years. She has served in several management roles and supervised teams in sales management and merchandising. She began her professional career at Eckerd Corporation after receiving her MBA from University of South Florida with honors. With an extremely strong background in business analytics, Germaine rose from analyst to associate category manager of Cosmetics. Germaine impressed Eckerd executives with her analytical and creative approach to the business. Germaine helped bring excellent growth to the cosmetic department and developed strong vendor relationships while running some of the sub categories. Germaine developed many strategic alliances with several manufacturers to include Maybelline, Revlon, Kiss, Bonne Belle, Allegro and many more. The nature of these interactions required not only an artful merchant but a strong communicator and salesperson as well. Ms. Gibbs truly excelled during her development at Eckerd.
Germaine went on to pursue her life long passion, to be her own business owner. She brought her vision to fruition and owns and manages one of the top Wellness Sanctuaries and Spas in the Tampa Bay area. This venture has brought new challenges to Germaine which she has met face on and tackled successfully. Germaine manages a team of 12 people and has created a business that is thriving. Germaine has utilized her salesmanship, analytical background and creativity to create a need for her customers they did not know they had before! Germaine has built a brand with her Caribbean style wellness sanctuary that continues to evolve and diversify everyday.
Germaine grew up in Curacao, an island in the Caribbean located right above South America. She ventured to the USA at 17 to pursue a Business education at college in Pittsburgh. Germaine thrived, hugely attracted to the ambitious and competitive culture of the US. Germaine’s ability to speak 5 languages fluently impressed Americans from day one! Germaine keeps close ties to her Caribbean routes and visits her home frequently. Germaine continues to evolve as a person through her zest to live life to the full. Germaine’s intelligence, passion and salesmanship serve her well in every challenge that she decides to take on.
